He is - after all - the man who gave us John Waters, Sean Cunningham and Wes Craven. He is the man who for many years championed independent cinema, showing films we would never had a chance to see without him. He is also the founder of the prestigious Boston Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, fourth oldest in the country.
